A dummy model of the iPhone 17 Pro can be seen in a video shared by tipster Majin Bu on Twitter (now X). The biggest change is the new layout of the camera module. While the iPhone 16 Pro's camera setup used to be in the top left corner of the back, in the iPhone 17 Pro this module now appears to be spread across the entire width of the back.

This design matches the Google Pixel series but many tech experts believe that this new style of Apple still does not look that polished. Questions have also started arising on social media about the large empty space between the camera, flash, microphone and sensor. It is being speculated that Apple may bring a special cover or accessory for this.

No much change in the rest of the design

According to the information, things like action button, volume keys, power button and camera control button will remain in their old place. The screen size is also likely to remain the same as the iPhone 16 Pro. Meaning this time the major focus will be on the camera, not the design.

As far as other changes are concerned, rumors say that Apple may once again return to the aluminum frame. The iPhone 15 Pro and 16 Pro had a titanium frame, but the iPhone 17 Pro is likely to get an aluminum frame to make the phone lighter and perhaps less expensive.

There is also big news about the front camera, the iPhone 17 series can be given a 24MP selfie camera which will give double the quality of the current 12MP unit. At the same time, all three rear cameras in the iPhone 17 Pro Max can be equipped with 48MP sensors including the main camera, ultra-wide and tetraprism telephoto zoom lens. These changes will be in performance and battery

The iPhone 17 Pro can see Apple's new A19 Pro chipset which will be based on 3nm technology. It will give slightly better performance and power efficiency than the A18 Pro. Apart from this, the RAM can be increased to 12GB which will make multitasking smoother. However, base variants like iPhone 17 and 17 Air are likely to get only 8GB of RAM.
