Deepti Sharma's father attacks Pakistan
India defeated Sri Lanka by 72 runs to win the Asia Cup for the eighth time. After the final, the Indian women's team refused to accept the trophy from Mohsin Naqvi. This has become a topic of discussion throughout India. Meanwhile, the father of star all-rounder Deepti Sharma has stated that relations with a terrorist country like Pakistan should be avoided, let alone accepting the trophy. He supported Team India's decision not to accept the trophy.
Deepti Sharma's father made sharp remarks.
Deepti Sharma's father Bhagwan Sharma told ABP News, "The daughters of India have done a great job by not taking the trophy from Mohsin Naqvi. A year ago, our men's team had also done the same. Pakistan has been a terrorist country. Terrorists had killed 26 of our innocent people; the whole world had criticized it (Pakistan)."
He further said, "We should not have any relations with such a terrorist country, let alone taking the trophy. The daughters of India have taken a very good step, and they should do the same in future also."
