"I was not able to digest it", Mohammed Siraj made a big revelation on being dropped from the Champions Trophy

Mohammed Siraj on Champions Trophy snub: Mohammed Siraj's brilliant performance continues in IPL 2025. Siraj has taken nine wickets in four matches and is making a significant contribution in getting his team to victory continuously. Last night, against a dangerous team like Sunrisers Hyderabad, Siraj conceded only 17 runs in four overs and took four wickets. He was adjudged the Player of the Match for his performance. This is the second consecutive match when Siraj has received the Player of the Match award. Siraj is bowling very sharply this season. After becoming the Player of the Match against SRH, Siraj broke his silence on being dropped from the Indian cricket team for the Champions Trophy and made a big statement.

Siraj said, I was not able to digest being dropped from the Champions Trophy but I did not let my passion diminish. I constantly worked on my game and fitness. I worked on whatever mistakes I was making and now I am enjoying my bowling. As a professional, when you are constantly with the Indian team, doubts start arising in your mind after being dropped. However, I did not let myself get disappointed and now I am ready for the IPL.

Siraj's performance in the Test series on the Australia tour was quite poor. Since then, questions were being raised about his place in the team. When Team India was announced for the home series against England and the Champions Trophy, Siraj's name was not in it. Indian captain Rohit Sharma and chief selector Ajit Agarkar also gave the reason for excluding him. Rohit especially said that Siraj is not effective after the new ball. Because of this we have to look for other options. Siraj was on a break of about two months and during this time he worked on his bowling. Now his hard work is paying off in the IPL and he is performing brilliantly in every match.
