Mahakumbh News: While there is a wave of faith in Mahakumbh, the traders of Triveni Bazaar are in despair. There is a crowd of devotees, but no customers, due to which there is silence in the posh market. Shopkeepers allege that the administrative mismanagement and unnecessary traffic diversion has broken the back of their business. Many traders, fed up with the loss, closed their shops, while some could not hold back their tears in front of UP Tak's camera. They had invested in Mahakumbh with the hope of great sales, but administrative decisions dashed their dreams.

A businessman named Jai from Jaipur told UP Tak, "I have a clothes shop here. I bought the shop by bidding Rs 7 lakh. I had bid more to get the corner shop. But the administration closed the gate near the shop. Street vendors came outside the gate, where will we go."

He further said, "My big shop is lying vacant. I am now selling an item worth Rs 500 for Rs 100. So that my stock gets cleared. Even after charging Rs 100, the shop is empty. So much of my stock is lying closed, I have not been able to open it. I will open it only when there is a sale. We are in tension as to how to take it now. I have a complete loss. I am in loss of Rs 15 to 17 lakh. And if I take this stuff back, then there will be a loss of 20 to 22 lakh."

What did businessman Ashish say

In a conversation with UP Tak, businessman Ashish Pandey said, "The business is going very bad, there is nothing here. The fair administration has barricaded the place, due to which no one is coming here. Forget recovery, we are not able to meet our daily expenses. My total investment here is 22 to 25 lakhs. I have not even recovered 5% of it. Today I have sold only 1000 rupees."

We bought the shop after the auction by bidding a fair amount. The total price of the shop is 15 lakh rupees. The administration did not stand by its word. We businessmen are crying. My daughter's wedding is on 17 March next month. I invested 70 lakhs by taking a loan of lakhs of rupees. We did not earn anything but lost it."

He further said, "I have not even been able to cover the expenses of my shop. I had so many dreams for my daughter. I don't know if those dreams will be fulfilled or not. The administration did not fulfill the promises it made."
