A disturbing case of identity fraud, deception, and exploitation has emerged from Lucknow's Jankipuram area, where a woman has accused her husband of posing as a Hindu, hiding his real identity, and forcing her into marriage and abortion — only for her to later discover that he was already married.
The Shocking Revelation
According to the complaint filed with the police, the victim said:
“My husband introduced himself as Ajay, but later I found out his real name is Javed Khan and he already has a wife.”
The woman met Javed in 2021, during routine travel. He told her his name was Ajay and gradually developed a relationship with her. Eventually, they married at an Arya Samaj Mandir on July 23, 2022, a popular venue for interfaith marriages under Hindu customs.
Abortion and Betrayal
After a few months of marriage, the victim became pregnant. That’s when things began to change. She alleges that Javed forced her to get an abortion in September 2024, citing "lack of blood" as an excuse — all while growing increasingly distant.
“I tolerated everything thinking my husband would change,” she said. “But he abandoned me emotionally and physically after I got pregnant.”
Truth Unfolds: A Call That Changed Everything
One day, after repeated unanswered calls, a woman finally picked up — Javed’s first wife, Parveen. She told the victim that the number belonged to her husband, leaving the victim devastated. When she confronted Javed, he allegedly pressured her to convert her religion and eat meat to stay with him.
Police Action
The police have registered a case and begun investigating the serious allegations, which include:
- Identity concealment
- Bigamy
- Forced abortion
- Religious coercion
What This Reflects
This case underscores a worrying trend of identity-based fraud in relationships, where individuals hide their backgrounds to exploit trust — often leading to deep emotional and physical harm. The misuse of religious institutions for fraudulent marriages further complicates the legal and emotional aftermath for victims.
