Hardoi Tragedy: Speeding Truck Rams Autorickshaw, 6 Dead, Including a Woman and Child; Hunt On for Driver

A devastating road accident in Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh claimed the lives of six people, leaving three others seriously injured, including a small child. The tragedy occurred on Thursday morning around 8:45 AM on Bangarmau-Sandila road in the Kasimpur police station area when a speeding truck collided with a passenger-loaded autorickshaw.
What Happened?
According to Superintendent of Police Neeraj Jadoun, the truck—driver yet unknown—crashed into the auto at high speed before fleeing the scene. The impact was so severe that six passengers died on the spot, while others were left critically wounded. The injured were rushed to CHC Sandila, with two later referred to Lucknow Trauma Centre for specialized treatment.

- Ranjit (Auto driver), son of Lalta, resident of Auramau (Kasimpur)
- Ankit Kumar, son of Ramji, resident of Bahdin (Kachhuna Balamau)
- Arvind, son of Nandram, resident of Malhan Kheda (Kasimpur)
- Phooljaha, wife of Siraj, resident of Behta Mujawar (Unnao)
- Nisar, son of Jahoor, resident of Unwa (Kachhuna)
- One unidentified woman
Injured:
- Siraj, son of Safijan (husband of deceased Phooljaha), from Behta Mujawar
- His two children, all in critical condition and shifted to Lucknow
Aftermath
The accident sparked panic and anger among local residents, who rushed to the scene in large numbers. Authorities, including SDM Arunima Srivastava and CO Sandila Satendra Singh, reached the spot immediately. SP Neeraj Jadoun later visited the hospital and confirmed that the post-mortem of all deceased is underway and efforts are on to track down the absconding truck driver and seize the vehicle.
