Petrol-Diesel Rate Today: To protect airlines and consumers, government oil companies have decided to bear the increase in global fuel prices themselves; ATF prices have not changed.

There is no change in the prices of petrol, diesel, and ATF today.

Petrol and Diesel Price Today on May 1: Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) prices for domestic airlines remain unchanged for the month of May, which begins today. Furthermore, rates for petrol, diesel, and domestic LPG, used by the general public, have also remained stable. 

Whose price is how much?

ATF – Jet fuel prices for domestic flights have been kept unchanged to help mitigate some of the pressure on fare increases. 

Petrol and Diesel - Petrol and diesel prices remained stable in major cities across the country today. In Delhi, petrol is priced at ₹94.77 per liter and diesel at ₹87.67 per liter. Despite fluctuations in international markets due to tensions in the Middle East, oil companies have not made any changes to domestic retail prices. 

Domestic LPG – There has been no change in the price of 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder. 

Commercial LPG - While the price of the 14.2 kg domestic cylinder remains unchanged, the price of the 19 kg commercial LPG gas cylinder has been increased by a massive ₹993.

Some important decisions for the government

The government has reduced the export duty on diesel from ₹55.5 to ₹23 per liter and on ATF from ₹42 to ₹33 per liter. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has stated that the country currently has sufficient LPG reserves, so there are no immediate plans to increase prices.
