New Rules: December 2025 is upon us—and with it come a host of changes that will directly impact your wallet, your taxes, and your everyday conveniences. The beginning of the month feels like a diary opening with new governance and market guidelines, each rule slightly changing the complexion of your day. Here's a neat summary of all the important changes:

1- Last chance to choose UPS (Unified Pension System)

The deadline for central government employees to choose UPS is November 30th. After this, this option will be closed on December 1st. The previous deadline was September 30th, but it was extended to the end of November.

2-LPG cylinder prices

LPG prices are adjusted monthly. After the November price cut, new prices will be effective from December 1st. This change could either provide relief or put a slight strain on your wallet.

3-Life Certificate for Pensioners

The deadline for pensioners to submit life certificates is November 30. Life certificates will not be accepted after this date, which could hinder pension payments.

4-Important work related to tax

The deadline for filing Form 3CEAA (Constituent Entity Report) is November 30th. This is also the deadline for those submitting reports under Section 92E. The ITR filing deadline for related taxpayers is also November 30th. Get your tax papers warm before the December cold sets in.

5-PNG and CNG prices

As usual, new PNG, CNG, and jet fuel prices will be effective from December 1. Changes may also be seen here depending on revisions by oil companies.
