From dal-rice water to peel, don't throw it away, use it like this

While working in the kitchen, there are many things that we throw away thinking they are useless, but from tea leaves to peels…you can use these useless things which seem like garbage and many of your tasks will also get done.

The waste generated during household chores is thrown away, which is collected or gathered at one place and then after separating it, the process of disposal begins. If each one of us makes small efforts, then we can also do waste management, which is also good for the environment. Most people throw away the leaves left after making tea in the kitchen, vegetable peels, fruit peels and water left after washing pulses and rice, but you can put all these things to use, which will not only make many of your works easier but it is also a great way to recycle.

There are many things in the house that are either thrown away as garbage or piled up in the house which looks very bad and occupies space unnecessarily. Let us know the ways to use some of the useless things lying in the house and the waste generated in the daily routine.

Glass and plastic bottles

If you have plastic and glass bottles lying around in your house, you can easily use them. Apart from making vases from glass bottles, you can make colourful lamps by colouring them and putting battery lights inside them. Apart from this, you can plant creeper plants in plastic bottles and hang them in the balcony. You can use glass jars to store things. If there is no lid, make candle holders.

leftover rice and dal water

You must be washing rice and lentils in your daily routine. Apart from this, many times dishes are made by soaking rice and lentils. Instead of throwing away the leftover water, use it in your garden. This will provide nutrition to your plants and they will grow in a better way.

Use of fruit and vegetable peels

Vegetable peels are thrown away at home every day. Similarly, many fruits are also peeled and eaten and the peels are thrown in the garbage. You can make compost manure for plants or make liquid fertilizer. To make fertilizer, spread a thin layer of soil in a wide-mouthed container and put peels on it and then apply a layer of soil. Keep doing this every day and in 25 to 30 days your compost manure will be ready or take a container with a lid and mix some chopped aloe vera leaves with the peels. Add water to it and keep it closed. Liquid fertilizer will be ready in a week.

use of leftover tea leaves

Tea is made at home every day and if you throw away the tea leaves, then stop this mistake today itself. First wash the leftover leaves thoroughly with plain water so that the sugar is removed. Now boiling it and washing hair gives a very good shine and also has other benefits for the hair. You can mix the leftover tea leaves in the soil of trees.
