FIFA World Cup 2026: The winning team will receive Rs 470 crore, no one will return empty-handed

There is one final match left in the FIFA World Cup and after that, there will be a team in front of the world which will win the FIFA World Cup title. Now the final match will be between Spain and Argentina. Whoever wins this title will return with crores and billions of rupees. While both the teams who are eliminated in the semi-finals may not lift the glittering trophy, but they will not return home empty-handed, the teams who are eliminated in the quarter-finals, round of 16 and group stage have returned home after earning crores from this mega event.
The total prize money for the FIFA World Cup 2026 is $871 million ,
or approximately ₹82 billion (approximately ₹82 billion). The third-place team will take home $29 million, while the fourth-place team will take home $27 million.
The winner of the FIFA World Cup 2026 will receive US$50 million (₹470 crore). The runner-up will receive US$33 million (₹277 crore). A total of eight teams participated in the quarter-finals. Each of these teams received $19 million. Teams that advanced to the Round of 16 received $15 million. The third-placed team eliminated from the group stage received $11 million, and the fourth-placed team received $9 million.
