Before the start of IPL, a bad news is coming for Delhi Capitals. Even before the start of IPL, a player of Delhi Capitals has been banned by the Board of Control for Cricket in India.
Delhi Capitals player banned
Delhi Capitals player Ankit Bawne has been banned for one match by the BCCI. The BCCI has given this information before the sixth round of Ranji Trophy 2024-25.
Informing about this, the Maharashtra Cricket Board said in a press release that our player Ankit Bawne is currently facing a ban imposed by the BCCI. Due to which he will not be available in the match against Baroda in the Ranji Trophy. However, he will be available for the upcoming matches.
Know why the ban was imposed
Actually this incident is from November last year, when the white ball tournament was being played. In that match, Ankit Bawne was caught out on a sweep on the ball of Amit Shukla of Services. But he was refusing to accept this, he was unhappy with the umpire's decision. He felt that it was not out. Due to which he did not leave the field for about 15 minutes despite being out. Due to which BCCI has taken this decision.
Ankit Bawne's cricket career
If we talk about the cricket career of Indian middle order batsman Ankit Bawne, then he has not yet made his debut in international cricket for India.
32-year-old Ankit has played 122 first class cricket matches so far. In which he has scored 8241 runs at an average of 51.50. Apart from this, he has scored 4650 runs in 117 innings of 126 matches in List A cricket at an average of 48.43. Ankit has scored 875 runs in 42 T20 matches at an average of 35.00.
