The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has announced a fresh recruitment drive for Apprentice posts under the Gas Turbine Research Establishment (GTRE). The application process has started from April 9, 2025, and will continue until May 8, 2025. Eligible candidates can apply online through the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal at nats.education.gov.in.

Vacancy Breakdown (Total: 150 Posts)

• Graduate Apprentice Trainee (Engineering): 75 posts
• Graduate Apprentice Trainee (Non-Engineering): 30 posts
• Diploma Apprentice Trainee: 20 posts
• ITI Apprentice Trainee: 25 posts

Educational Qualification

• Graduate Apprentice (Engineering): BE/BTech or equivalent in relevant discipline
• Graduate Apprentice (Non-Engineering): BA/BSc/BCom/BBA/BCA or equivalent
• Diploma Apprentice: Diploma in relevant engineering stream
• ITI Apprentice: ITI certificate in related trade

Age Limit

• Candidates must be between 18 to 27 years
• Age relaxation applies for reserved categories as per government rules

Selection Process

Selection will be based on:

• Shortlisting of candidates based on academic performance
• Document verification before final selection

The first list of shortlisted candidates will be released on May 23, 2025.

Apprenticeship Duration

• Selected candidates will undergo a 12-month training program

3. Upload necessary documents and submit the form
