Does shaving your hair in the monsoon stop hair fall? Understand the important things to prevent baldness from a hair expert.

The rainy season does not bring only comfort. It brings with it many problems like hair fall. Let us tell you whether one can get rid of this by becoming bald in the rainy season?

The rainy season i.e., monsoon, often affects the health of our hair. Many people feel that hair fall reduces or baldness stops in this season. But does hair fall really stop in the monsoon? According to hair experts, changing seasons has some effect on hair growth, but it is not a solution to completely stop baldness.

Monsoon and hair fall

There is more air and humidity in the rainy season, which makes the hair look soft and shiny. However, this is only the effect of external humidity; problems related to the hair roots i.e., hair fall and baldness, do not completely stop with the change of seasons. The real reason is usually a lack of nutrition, hormonal imbalance, stress, and scalp problems.

What do the experts say?

Famous dermatologist and hair expert Ankur Sarin has recently shared a video on his YouTube channel regarding hair care in the monsoon. In this video, he told that hair problems increase in the rainy season, especially the problem of hair fall becomes common. According to the expert, he has told her that if we adopt some easy habits, then this problem can be avoided.

According to Dr. Sarin, it is very important to apply oil at least twice a week to keep hair healthy in monsoon. Oil nourishes the hair and prevents it from breaking or getting damaged. During the monsoon, the hair is already weak, so it needs extra attention.

Important things to prevent hair fall

Proper diet:  Protein, iron, vitamin B and vitamin D are very important to keep hair strong. Include pulses, eggs, green vegetables, and nuts in your diet.

Scalp cleaning: Hair gets wet quickly during the monsoon, which increases the risk of dandruff and fungal infection. Hair should be washed with a mild shampoo 2-3 times a week.

Oiling:  Massaging with light coconut or argan oil strengthens the hair roots and keeps the scalp moisturized.

Stress Management-  Stress is also a big cause of hair fall. Meditation, yoga and getting enough sleep help in keeping hair healthy.

Medical checkup: If hair is falling out suddenly, consult a hair expert or dermatologist. This can also be due to hormonal issues or problems like thyroid.

Hair experts say that it is important to start hair fall treatment on time to prevent baldness. Using minoxidil or other doctor-advised topical medicines can help increase hair growth. Along with this, use less hard treatments like a hair dryer and straightening so that the hair does not weaken. Hair fall may be seen slightly less in the monsoon, but this is not enough to prevent baldness. A balanced diet, proper care of the scalp, reducing stress and taking timely expert advice are most important. Remember, healthy hair depends not only on the weather but also on the right lifestyle and care.
