By not stretching and walking daily, the bones become so weak that even a minor injury or fall can cause fracture. Because in today's lifestyle, staying fit is not only important to look good, but also to avoid diseases and stay mentally healthy.

Walking and stretching: Bones are the framework of our body, which not only give us shape but also protect the internal organs. But as age increases, bone density starts decreasing and it becomes difficult to keep them strong. In such a situation, the question arises whether small daily habits like walking and stretching can really keep bones strong? Experts say that yes, regular walking and stretching done in the right way can play an important role in maintaining bone health.
Dr. Sankalp Jaiswal of the orthopedics department at Kailash Hospital in Greater Noida explains that brisk walking every day is a kind of weight-bearing exercise. When you put your body weight on your feet while walking, it puts pressure on the density of bones, which leads to the formation of new cells. This maintains the density of bones and reduces the risk of diseases like osteoporosis (in this the bones become so weak that even a minor injury or fall can cause fractures).
Benefits of stretching –
Stretching makes the muscles flexible and keeps the joints mobile. This improves the posture of the body and does not put unnecessary pressure on the bones. Stretching improves blood circulation, which also provides good nutrition to the bones and muscles.
Active Lifestyle-
If you sit in the same position for a long time or do not have an active lifestyle , stretching helps to reduce the tension in your body and open the joints. This can prevent muscle tightness that affects the bones.
Why 5 days, 30 minutes walk is necessary-
According to doctors and physiotherapists, walking for 30 minutes at least 5 days a week and stretching for 10 to 15 minutes a day is very beneficial for strengthening bones. Along with this, a diet rich in calcium and vitamin D is also necessary, because the full benefits of exercise are achieved only when the body gets proper nutrition.
In today's lifestyle, staying fit is important not only to look good but also to avoid diseases and stay mentally healthy. Many people ask whether just walking and stretching every day is enough, or should we include more. If you really want to stay fit, then along with this, adopt light strength training, yoga, balanced diet and good sleep. It is possible to stay fit at every age, all you need is a balanced routine and a little dedication.
