David Warner Named Captain of Karachi Kings for PSL 10

Australian cricketer David Warner has been appointed as the new captain of Karachi Kings for the 10th season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). Despite going unsold in IPL 2025, Warner will now lead Karachi Kings, replacing Pakistan’s Test captain Shan Masood.

Karachi Kings’ Big Decision

The franchise praised Shan Masood's leadership in PSL 9, acknowledging his efforts in restructuring the team. However, they opted for Warner’s vast T20 experience and aggressive captaincy.

Franchise Owner Salman Iqbal’s Statement

Karachi Kings' owner Salman Iqbal welcomed Warner, stating:

"We welcome David Warner to the Karachi Kings family. His leadership and match-winning record align with our goals for PSL 10. We also appreciate Shan Masood's contributions and expect him to play a crucial role this season."

PSL 10 Schedule & Karachi Kings' First Match

  • PSL 10 kicks off on April 11, 2025.
  • Karachi Kings will play their first match on April 12 against Multan Sultans at National Bank Stadium, Karachi.

With Warner at the helm, Karachi Kings will aim to reclaim the PSL title, having last won in 2020.
