Adopt new methods to trap people

The uncle of one of the victim students told NDTV that the boys used to harass the girl when she went to school. They would write their numbers on slips of paper and throw them on the road. After a few days, the boys started threatening the girl. They found a small mobile phone, which the boys used to talk to and started brainwashing the girl to convert her religion by showing her new cars.

The victim's maternal uncle says that the boys used to ask the girl to keep fasts and accept Islam. The boys were exploiting the girls and also threatened them by beating them. There are cut marks on our girl's hand.

The boys bring different cars every day

A victim of physical abuse and blackmailing told NDTV that the boys used to bring new vehicles every day to trap them. Sometimes a car, sometimes a bullet... there were different vehicles. The student said, "They once said that if we sell a Brahmin girl, we will get 20 lakh rupees and if we sell you (Dalit), we will get 10 lakh rupees."

Regarding how she became friends with those boys and how this blackmailing scandal began, the victim said that a boy named Sohail Mansuri used to follow her from school to home. He did this for about 15 days. He would write his number on the way and throw letters. One day I called him and talked to him, he asked me to meet him. Then I went to meet him at a cafe, and something bad happened to me there. Sohail Mansuri's friends were also there. He took my photo there and after that he started torturing me to make me talk to my friend.

Gave a mobile phone to talk

He gave me a small mobile phone through which we started talking. Sohail started threatening me that if I tell anyone, I will kill you and your family. Then I did not tell anyone and made my friends talk to Sohail and his friends Ryan, Javed, Aman. Ryan Mansuri and Hakim Qureshi are its main leaders. Hakim used to say that he will help in escaping.

They would often threaten me during conversations. They even gave me something mixed in water to drink. Then I did not understand anything and I kept doing whatever they said. Gradually, they started talking to me daily and they started torturing me to wear burqa. They told me about the five Namaz (prayers) performed in the mosque. Roza is coming, so they asked me to observe Roza. They told me how to do it. They threatened to kill my maternal uncle. When I refused to observe Roza, they thrashed me and made a slit on my hand with a blade.
