CM Siddaramaiah got angry at ASP during the rally, gestured to slap him

During a Congress rally in Belgaum, Karnataka, CM Siddaramaiah got angry at a police officer and gestured to slap him. Actually, CM Siddaramaiah got angry due to the protest of some people during the program and he called the officer on the stage by saying 'Hey Police' and gestured to slap him, after which the officer backed off.

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Monday lost his temper during a Congress rally and was seen making a gesture as if to slap a police officer,now the video of this incident is going viral on social media.

 

In fact, during the program, when some protesters showed black flags, CM Siddaramaiah got angry. Expressing displeasure over the security arrngements at the rally site, the Chief Minister showed anger at Dharwad Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Narayan Barmani and was seen trying to raise his hand, seeing which the officer retreated.

Standing on the stage among Congress leaders and workers, Siddaramaiah angrily called the officer and asked, "Hey, come here, who is the SP? What are ... you people doing?" After this, the atmosphere on the stage became tense and then the audio became unclear. In the video, the Chief Minister raised his raised his hand in such a way that it seems as if he is signaling to slap the officer.

The opposition has reacted sharply to this action of the Chief Minister. Janata Dal (Secular) posted on Twitter, 'Power is not permanent. Raising hand on a police officer is not befitting your position and dignity. Your tenure is 5 years, but the officer serves for 60 years, correct your mistakes.'

 

Karnataka BJP spokesperson Vijay Prasad also strongly criticized Siddaramaiah and said, 'Raising hands on a police officer is an insult of the highest... level. Your arrogance has crossed all limits. This conduct is shameful for any leader, especially for the Chief Minister of the state. He also demanded the CM to apologize to the police officer unconditionally.
