The administration has banned 25 books written by Maulana Maudadi, Arundhati Roy, A.G. Noorani, Victoria Schofield, and David Devadas, and other authors on Jammu and Kashmir. Omar Abdullah has reacted to this.

In Jammu and Kashmir, the Governor's administration has banned 25 books related to the valley and separatism. The police are searching for these books in shops and confiscating them. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has given a sharp reaction.
In fact, a user had tagged Omar Abdullah and questioned him regarding the ban on the social media platform X. He wrote, "Omar Abdullah, remove the ban on books. For the rest of your life you will be known as a coward who was afraid of books. Remove the ban on books."
What did Omar Abdullah say?
In response, Omar Abdullah said, "O ignorant one, get your facts right before you call me a coward. This ban has been imposed by the LG, the only department he officially controls is the Home Department. I have never banned books and I will never do so."
