By Jitendra Jangid- Friends, in today's digital world, money transactions have become very easy, today you can exchange money sitting at a place through UPI app, but amidst this modernity, many people still depend on traditional methods like cash withdrawal from bank or ATM and some people also use cheque to make payment. If you also transact by cheque, then it is important to take some precautions, let's know about them
1. Never give a blank cheque
Never give a cheque to anyone without filling all the necessary details - especially the amount. A blank cheque in the wrong hands can lead to serious financial fraud.
Always fill the amount clearly
Make sure to write both the numeric and word format of the amount you want to give. Leaving it blank or partially filled gives fraudsters a chance to change the amount.

Sign only after filling in all the details
Always fill in all the details before signing – payee’s name, amount (in words and numbers), and date. Signed blank or incomplete cheques are highly risky.
Mention the date correctly
Always mention the correct date on the cheque. Undated or postdated cheques may be misused or dishonoured depending on the situation.

Keep a record of cheques issued
Keep a record of all cheques issued by you. Note down the cheque number, date, amount and payee for your safety and to track payments.
