Chennai and Kolkata desperately want these players! Even 30 crores will fall short; the auction could cause chaos.

IPL 2026 Auction: The IPL 2026 auction will be held tomorrow in Abu Dhabi. There's one player in this auction who could significantly strengthen the teams of CSK and KKR.

The IPL 2026 auction will be held tomorrow in Abu Dhabi, starting at 2:30 PM ET. A total of 350 players will be up for auction, including several big names. Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders are the two teams with the largest purses. Both have a vacant spot in their squads that could be filled by an Australian all-rounder.

We're talking about Australian all-rounder Cameron Green. Recently, in a mock auction conducted by Star Sports, Cameron Green was sold for ₹30.50 crore. If the same happens in the actual auction tomorrow, Green will become the most expensive player in IPL history.

Chennai Super Kings have ₹43.40 crore left, while Kolkata Knight Riders have ₹64.30 crore. Cameron Green is a player who can meet the needs of both Chennai and Kolkata, so bids for him could go as high as ₹30 crore.

Why does CSK need Cameron Green?

CSK traded two players, Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran, for Sanju Samson. Chennai already has fast-bowling all-rounder Shivam Dube, but he hasn't bowled much in his IPL career. With Jadeja and Curran gone, the team desperately needs a world-class all-rounder who can bat in the middle order and also play the role of an all-rounder. Therefore, Chennai will not hesitate to place a high bid for Green.

Why does KKR need Cameron Green?

Andre Russell's retirement has left a void in the KKR squad for a foreign all-rounder. Green could be an ideal replacement for Russell. Green could also address KKR's batting problems by batting from No. 3 to No. 5. He could also play the role of a finisher, just like Russell.
