These accused, who were brought to Jaipur on production warrant from Dausa jail, have been identified as Rinku, Shahzad Khan, Jayanarayan Meena and Rakesh Joshi. According to the police, Rinku, a prisoner lodged in Shyalawas jail of Dausa, had called the Jaipur Control Room and threatened to kill the Chief Minister. After this, the police immediately started the investigation and took the four accused into custody.
Let us tell you, the command of this entire operation is in the hands of Additional DCP South Lalit Sharma. While DCP South Digant Anand is supervising this case.
How did the mobile and SIM reach?
Police investigation revealed that Shahzad Khan had provided the mobile phone in the jail, while two SIM cards purchased in the name of Jayanarayan Meena were used. Rakesh Joshi, a government compounder posted in the jail, delivered this mobile and SIM to Rinku through Shahzad for Rs 1500. Interrogation of all the accused is going on under the leadership of Vidhayakpuri police station in-charge B.L. Meena. The police has also obtained two-day remand by presenting the accused in the court.
Prison administration also in trouble
After this incident, questions were raised on the jail administration that how did the mobile reach the prisoners. Earlier, Dausa police removed Shyalwas jail's jailor Rajesh Dukia and put him on APO. Vikas Bhagoria has been appointed as the new jailor. Along with this, head warder Ramprasad and warder Mahendra Meena were suspended, while action was recommended against home guard Ramnarayan.
Such an incident has happened before
It is worth noting that this is not the first time that the Chief Minister has been threatened from jail. Earlier also, a prisoner serving sentence under POCSO Act from Dausa jail had done the same. This time, due to the quick action of the police and jail administration, the accused were caught immediately.
