Dr. Tejinder Kataria, Chairperson of Cancer Science Center, Medanta Hospital, Gurgaon, says that this cancer occurs in a small gland near the rectum below the bladder of men. Liquid is released from this gland, which helps women to conceive. Experts say that this type of cancer has become common in men. According to a statistic, out of 100 patients, 13 have to lose their lives due to this cancer.
Causes of prostate cancer
Although there can be many reasons behind this cancer, it is not necessary that you always inherit it from your family.
Age- Men above 50 years of age can get this cancer but now it is affecting younger people as well.
Genetics- There are high chances that if one male in a family has this cancer, then further males in the family, who are of the same race, may also get this cancer.
African race: African Americans have the highest incidence of prostate cancer in the world.
Lifestyle- Nowadays, the biggest reason for the increase in this disease is unhealthy lifestyle. These include some other things such as smoking, drinking alcohol, obesity and eating too much junk food.

- Keep getting medical checkups done regularly.
- Avoid smoking and alcohol consumption.
- Remove the deficiency of vitamin D in the body.
- Exercise regularly, too.
- Avoid consuming fatty foods.
- Eat soybean, red colored fruits and vegetables.
