Whatever they want is made at night or people go to sleep after eating whatever they want. But, doing this proves to spoil sleep. There are many things which if consumed at night can disturb sleep. These things can wake up from sleep again and again, one is unable to sleep peacefully and the person just keeps turning from side to side throughout the night. In such a situation, brain specialist Dr. Indranil Chugh is telling about some such foods which can interfere with sleep. In such a situation, doctors are advising to avoid eating these foods at night.
Foods That Disturb Sleep
The doctor says that there are some foods which when eaten start producing stomach gas. These things cause bloating and also cause stomach pain. If gas starts forming at night, then there will be trouble in sleeping. These gas forming foods are cauliflower, brinjal, ladyfinger, gram lentils and chickpeas or kidney beans. If they are eaten at night, then stomach problems occur and sleep is disturbed. That is why the doctor says that these foods should be avoided at night.
What to do if sleep is disturbed due to gas
If gas starts forming in the stomach at night and due to this there is trouble in sleeping, then lukewarm lemon water can be drunk. Squeeze half a lemon in a glass of warm water and drink it. This will stimulate the digestive juices and digestive problems will be cured.
Drinking ginger water can also provide relief from gas. Cut ginger and put it in water and boil it for some time. Now filter this water and drink it lukewarm, it provides relief from gas.
Take a little asafoetida, mix it in water and drink it. The properties of asafoetida improve digestion and relieve gas.
Drinking buttermilk can also provide relief from gas. If ginger, black salt and green coriander are added to buttermilk, then gut health starts improving.
Consumption of celery also relieves gas. You can eat roasted celery or boil celery in water and drink this water after filtering it. Gas will go away.
