The results of this study have been published in the Molecular Therapy Oncology Journal. According to this, for the first time, doctors made CAR-T cells in the hospital itself and tested them on blood cancer patients. Here, CAR-T therapy was tested on patients of acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) and large B-cell lymphoma (LBCL). Through this, patients prepared their T-cells to fight cancer.
Not the first study of CAR-T therapy
This is not the first study of CAR-T therapy in India. Earlier also, Immune Act and Tata Memorial Hospital Mumbai had done this study together. In this, the first indigenous therapy was developed, which has also been approved by the Center in 2023.
