A cabinet meeting was held on Friday. In this, the name of Gaya has been changed to Gayaji. An important decision was also taken for the relatives of the soldiers who sacrificed their lives in Operation Sindoor. The Bihar government has decided that an ex-gratia grant of Rs 50 lakh will be given to the families of the martyred soldiers.
Gaya city will now be known as Gayaji. The government has decided to name it Gayaji in view of the mythological, historical and religious importance of Gaya city.
This proposal was approved in the cabinet meeting held on Friday under the chairmanship of the state's Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. A total of 69 proposals were approved in the meeting.
Buddhist meditation and experience center to be built in Bodhgaya
After the cabinet meeting, Additional Chief Secretary of the Cabinet Dr. S Siddharth said that along with the naming of Gayaji, it has also been decided that a Buddhist meditation and experience center will be built in Bodh Gaya where the number of tourists is constantly increasing.
Government believes that the number of tourists will increase
The government believes that this will increase the number of tourists as well as increase revenue and also create employment for the people.
A Buddhist Meditation and Experience Center will be built under Swadesh Darshan Scheme 2.0. A scheme of Rs 165.44 crore has been approved for this.
Compensation to the families of Operation Sindoor martyrs
The government has approved a proposal to give an ex-gratia grant of Rs 50 lakh to the families of the martyrs of the Armed Forces and Central Armed Forces in Operation Sindoor.
This compensation will be given to the families of the soldiers of Bihar who have sacrificed their lives in the tension between India and Pakistan.
Two percent increase in dearness allowance of state employees
The government has approved a proposal to increase the dearness allowance of state employees and pensioners receiving the seventh pay scale by two percent.
State employees were currently getting 53 percent allowance, after the increase, 55 percent allowance will be payable. Its benefit will be given from January 1, 2025.
Additional expenditure of 1070 crores
The decision will increase the additional expenditure by 1070 crores. Apart from this, the pensioners of the fifth central pay scale will be given 466 percent instead of 455 percent and the pensioners of the sixth pay scale will be given 252 percent instead of 246 percent.
Panchayat secretaries will also register births and deaths
Dr. Siddharth said that the cabinet has amended the previous rules of birth and death registration. After which the panchayat secretaries have been given the right to register births and deaths.
The panchayat secretary will be the registrar of his panchayat area and will execute the application related to birth and death at the level of the village panchayat.
Cancer Care and Research Society will be formed
The government has approved the proposal to form a Cancer Care and Research Society in the state to provide relief to the victims of diseases like cancer in the state.
According to Siddharth, this step has been taken to strengthen the current medical system of cancer in the state and to expand it and to prevent cancer. He said that the number of cancer patients is continuously increasing in the state.
Horizontal reservation for disabled people in jobs and educational institutions
After deliberation on the proposal of the General Administration Department, the government has approved the proposal to give horizontal reservation only to the bench mark disabled people who are natives of the state for appointment in state services and enrollment in educational institutions.
1069 Panchayat buildings will be built, 27.84 billion approved
The work of construction of Panchayat Government buildings is going on in various panchayats of the state. So far, about 2500 Panchayat buildings are being constructed.
In this episode, now the government has approved the proposal to build 1069 new Panchayat buildings. Rs 27.84 crore has been approved for the construction of these buildings. It has also been decided that Sudha Whole-Day Milk Parlor will be constructed in the Panchayat Government Building complex.
