Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has been granted permission to meet his sister, Dr. Uzma Khatoon, after nearly a month. Dr. Uzma has reportedly arrived inside the prison premises, where she will meet with Imran Khan. Amid protests outside Adiala Jail, Imran Khan's sister, Dr. Uzma Khan, was finally called inside by the prison administration. Imran's other sisters also arrived at the jail at 11:30 am, but they have not yet been granted access.

Security around the impenetrable
Adiala Jail complex has been severely tightened. All roads leading to the jail have been blocked with containers and trucks. Heavy police and Rangers personnel have been deployed along each route. People are being regularly frisked, and only authorized personnel are being allowed to proceed.

Section 144 and shoot-at-sight orders
have been imposed in Rawalpindi, prohibiting any gathering or rally. According to reports, the administration has issued "shoot-at-sight" orders, meaning security forces can open fire in the event of violence or vandalism. Similar orders have been implemented in Peshawar to stop protesters.

PTI supporters are unwilling to back down.
Despite tight restrictions and security, a large number of PTI supporters remain outside Adiala Jail. Protesters continue to raise slogans, and the atmosphere remains tense. The situation is constantly evolving, and the administration is on high alert.

Earlier, a Pakistani anti-terrorism court on Monday rejected a petition by Aleema Khan, the sister of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, seeking the dropping of charges against her under the anti-terrorism law. These charges were part of a case filed against Aleema for participating in a protest called by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan in November 2024.

The case was registered at the Sadiqabad police station in Rawalpindi, charging 11 people, including Aleema, with organizing an illegal protest, raising anti-government slogans, vandalism, and stone-pelting. Aleema had approached the Rawalpindi Anti-Terrorism Court, requesting the dropping of terrorism charges under Section 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act.
