Many new phones are expected to hit the smartphone market this week, between October 12th and 18th. Companies are focusing on providing better displays, larger batteries, faster processors, and gaming-friendly features in their new models. OnePlus and RedMagic are launching their new flagship phones in China. Some phones from OPPO, Motorola, and Infinix may also arrive in India, although official information regarding the Indian launch dates of most of these phones has not yet been revealed.
OnePlus 16 will have a 9000mAh battery.
The OnePlus 16 is scheduled to launch in China on October 12, 2026. According to the company, the phone will feature a 165Hz refresh rate screen, which can go up to 185Hz in select games. It is reported to have a Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 processor, a 9000mAh battery, and 100W wired and 50W wireless charging support. The camera is expected to include a 200MP main sensor and 50MP ultra-wide and periscope telephoto cameras. There is no official information yet regarding its launch in India.
RedMagic 12 Pro+ will focus on gaming
The RedMagic 12 Pro+ will be unveiled in China on October 15th. It's confirmed to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset and under-display selfie camera technology. The company has reduced the screen bezels to 0.96mm. The phone's transparent design will be available in three color options. Its battery is expected to be 8,400mAh, with 120W wired and 80W wireless charging. Other specifications will be revealed at launch.
Phones from OPPO, Motorola and Infinix are also included in the list.
The OPPO Find X10 series is rumored to arrive in India this week or by the end of October. The Pro Max model is reported to feature a 6.78-inch 144Hz screen, a Dimensity 9600 Pro processor, three 200MP cameras, and an 8000mAh battery, though an official launch date in India hasn't been announced.
The Motorola Edge 70 Neo is also expected to be launched in India, while the Infinix GT 50 Pro has already been teased for the Indian market. This Infinix phone features a 144Hz AMOLED display, a Dimensity 8400 Ultimate processor, and a 6,500mAh battery. Its Indian price and launch date have not yet been revealed.
New phones from iQOO and Xiaomi are also being monitored.
The iQOO 16 has already been launched in China and is expected to arrive in India in late October. It features an 8,400mAh battery, a 165Hz display, and the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 processor. Meanwhile, reports regarding the Xiaomi 18 Pro's India launch have varied. Some reports suggest an October launch, while others suggest a December launch.
