Telecom major Bharti Airtel's consolidated net profit more than doubled to Rs 8,651 crore in the second quarter of the current financial year, while operating income rose 25.7 percent to Rs 52,145 crore.

Bharti Airtel Q2 results 2025: Telecom company Bharti Airtel's consolidated net profit more than doubled to Rs 8,651 crore in the second quarter of the current fiscal year. The company's profit increased primarily due to an increase in high-paying smartphone customers and post-paid connections.
The company had a net profit of ₹4,153.4 crore in the same quarter of 2024-25. Bharti Airtel Africa also saw a multifold increase in net profit during the quarter, reaching ₹969 crore.
What did the company official say?
Airtel said in a filing to the stock exchanges that its operating income during the quarter increased by 25.7 percent to ₹52,145 crore (approximately $1.8 billion). It was ₹41,473.3 crore (approximately $1.8 billion). Bharti Airtel's average mobile revenue per user increased by nearly 10 percent to ₹256 (approximately $2.8 billion) in the September quarter of the current fiscal year, compared to ₹233 (approximately $2.8 billion) in the same quarter a year ago.
Bharti Airtel Vice Chairman and Managing Director Gopal Vittal said, "We have delivered another solid quarter of performance. We achieved consolidated revenue of ₹52,145 crore on a quarterly basis. This reflects the strength of our portfolio."
He said the African business delivered another strong quarter with constant currency revenue growth of 7.1 percent. In rupee terms, Airtel Africa's revenue grew by approximately 36 percent to Rs 13,679.5 crore. Vittal said the Indian mobile business recorded a revenue growth of 2.6 percent, adding 5.1 million smartphone subscribers and maintaining an industry-leading ARPU of Rs 256 due to its continued focus on quality customers. The postpaid segment also recorded a high quarterly net growth of approximately 1 million.
