BCCI will make a big decision regarding the World Cup as soon as IPL starts, tobacco-crypto sponsors will be stopped!

Women World Cup: The organizing committee for the Women's ODI World Cup 2025 will be formed and the venue will be selected in the BCCI meeting to be held in Kolkata on March 22.

The BCCI Apex Council will hold an emergency meeting on March 22 in Kolkata to form the organising committee for the Women's ODI World Cup and also select the venues for this year's tournament.

The meeting will be held during the first match of IPL between defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore at Eden Gardens. The BCCI last hosted the Women's ODI World Cup in 2013. The agenda of the meeting includes the formation of the organizing committee for the Women's Cricket World Cup 2025 and discussion on the venues of the tournament.

The Indian team reached the final of the 50-over World Cup twice, but could not win. The apex council will also finalise the framework of the 2025-26 domestic season. India has to host West Indies and South Africa for which the venues of the matches will also be decided.

After the arrival of new officials, the names authorized to sign the bank accounts of the board will also be approved. Earlier this month, the Health Ministry had asked the BCCI to ban all types of tobacco and alcohol promotion during the IPL. This issue will also be raised in the meeting, which also includes sponsorship related to tobacco and crypto currency.
