The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a major new commercial partnership for its home cricket calendar. Muthoot FinCorp Limited has been appointed as the Title Sponsor for India Home Cricket, with the agreement set to continue until March 2028.
The partnership covers a broad range of cricket played under the BCCI umbrella in India, extending from international home series to major domestic competitions. It will provide Muthoot FinCorp with significant visibility across men's, women's, youth and domestic cricket over the duration of the agreement.
The arrangement is particularly wide-ranging because it is not limited to matches involving only India's senior men's team. According to the BCCI, the title sponsorship encompasses international series and tournaments played in India as well as domestic tournaments organised by the Board.
Muthoot FinCorp Partnership to Run Until March 2028
The BCCI officially announced the agreement on September 26, 2026. The association will remain in place through March 2028, giving Muthoot FinCorp title sponsorship rights across multiple parts of India's home cricket programme.
The partnership is scheduled to begin with India's first ODI against the West Indies in Thiruvananthapuram.
Under the agreement, Muthoot FinCorp's association extends across India's Senior Men's National Team, Senior Women's National Team, India A Men's Team, India B Men's Team, India A Women's Team and the men's and women's Under-19 teams, along with other designated sides.
This means the company will gain exposure across different levels of Indian cricket rather than being associated with a single team or competition.
Major Domestic Cricket Tournaments Also Covered
One of the most significant aspects of the deal is its coverage of India's domestic cricket structure.
According to the official BCCI announcement, competitions covered by the association include the Ranji Trophy, Irani Cup, Duleep Trophy, Vijay Hazare Trophy, Deodhar Trophy and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
These tournaments form an important part of India's cricketing pathway. While the Ranji Trophy remains the country's premier first-class competition, the Vijay Hazare Trophy and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy provide major platforms for 50-over and T20 domestic cricket respectively.
The sponsorship therefore gives Muthoot FinCorp a presence not only during high-profile international matches but also throughout the domestic season.
BCCI Highlights Connection With 'Men and Women in Blue'
The BCCI also highlighted an interesting visual connection between the two brands while announcing the partnership.
Muthoot FinCorp's distinctive blue branding creates what the Board described as a natural association with Indian cricket's familiar "Men and Women in Blue" identity.
Beyond the colour connection, the BCCI said the partnership brings together the company's nationwide presence and the extensive reach of Indian cricket.
The arrangement is expected to allow Muthoot FinCorp to connect with cricket audiences through India's national teams and important domestic competitions.
What BCCI President Mithun Manhas Said
BCCI President Mithun Manhas welcomed Muthoot FinCorp into the Board's sponsorship portfolio and highlighted the scale of India's home cricket season.
Manhas said the home calendar brings together national teams, domestic competitions and players at different stages of their careers. He also said the new sponsorship reflects Indian cricket's broad reach across the country.
BCCI Honorary Secretary Devajit Saikia similarly highlighted how India's home season covers multiple levels of the cricket structure, ranging from senior national teams and India A to age-group sides and domestic tournaments.
BCCI Vice President Rajeev Shukla, meanwhile, pointed to competitions such as the Ranji Trophy, Duleep Trophy, Vijay Hazare Trophy and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy as important pathways for cricketers aiming to represent India.
Muthoot FinCorp Gets a Wide Cricket Platform
For Muthoot FinCorp, the agreement provides access to one of India's biggest sporting audiences.
Thomas George Muthoot, Joint Managing Director of Muthoot FinCorp Limited, said cricket offers the company a way to connect with people across India, while its association with the BCCI reflects the company's commitment to supporting cricket at national and domestic levels.
The sponsorship also forms part of a broader commercial portfolio around India Home Cricket. Earlier in September, the BCCI announced Campa, SBI Life and ChatGPT as associate partners for a two-season period running through March 2028.
With Muthoot FinCorp now coming on board as Title Sponsor, its branding will extend across international home cricket and several of India's most important domestic competitions until March 2028.
