BCCI Central Contracts Announced: Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer Return, 34 Players Included

The BCCI has released the central contract list for Team India (Senior Men) for the 2024–25 season, covering the period from October 1, 2024, to September 30, 2025. A total of 34 players have been awarded contracts. Notably, Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer have made a return to the list after being dropped last year due to disciplinary reasons. Several young players have also earned their first-ever contracts.
Breakdown of BCCI Central Contract Grades
- Grade A+ – ₹7 crore annually
- Grade A – ₹5 crore
- Grade B – ₹3 crore
- Grade C – ₹1 crore
Each player is assigned to a grade based on their performance, consistency, and importance to the team across formats.
Players in Grade A+ and A
Grade A+ (4 players):
Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, Ravindra Jadeja
Grade A (6 players):
Mohammed Siraj, KL Rahul, Shubman Gill, Hardik Pandya, Mohammed Shami, Rishabh Pant
Shreyas Iyer Returns in Grade B, Ishan Kishan in Grade C
Shreyas Iyer has been placed in Grade B, marking his return after a season without a contract. Joining him in this category are Suryakumar Yadav, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, and Yashasvi Jaiswal.
Ishan Kishan, also making a comeback, has been placed in Grade C. This category includes 19 players in total:
Rinku Singh, Tilak Varma, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shivam Dube, Ravi Bishnoi, Washington Sundar, Mukesh Kumar, Sanju Samson, Arshdeep Singh, Prasidh Krishna, Rajat Patidar, Dhruv Jurel, Sarfaraz Khan, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Abhishek Sharma, Akashdeep, Varun Chakravarthy, Harshit Rana, and Ishan Kishan.
