Holi 2025 Bank Holiday: Banks to Remain Closed in Several States, But Open in These Places

According to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) holiday list, banks will remain closed for three consecutive days in several parts of the country from March 13 to March 16, 2025, on the occasion of Holi. However, in some states, banks will remain open despite the festival.

If you have any important banking work, make sure to plan accordingly to avoid inconvenience.

State-Wise Bank Holiday List for Holi 2025

🔴 Banks Will Be Closed in These States:

📅 March 13, 2025 (Thursday):

  • Banks will be closed in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jharkhand, and Kerala.

📅 March 14, 2025 (Friday) - Holi:

  • Banks will be closed in most states, including:
    • Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Haryana, Punjab, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, and Mizoram.
  • However, banks will remain open in:
    • Tripura, Karnataka, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Manipur, Kerala, and Nagaland.

📅 March 15, 2025 (Saturday):

  • Banks will be closed in Agartala, Bhubaneswar, Imphal, and Patna.

📅 March 16, 2025 (Sunday):

  • Banks across the country will be closed due to the weekly holiday.
