Assam HSLC Result 2025 Declared: 63.98% Pass; Amishi Saikia Tops with 98.5% Marks

The Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB) has officially declared the Assam HSLC (Class 10) Result 2025, with a total pass percentage of 63.98%. Students who appeared for the exam can now check their results on the official websites: asseb.in, sebaonline.org, and results.assam.nic.in.
Toppers Announced: Girls Lead the Way
- Amishi Saikia emerged as the state topper with a remarkable 591 out of 600 marks (98.5%), setting a new benchmark for academic excellence.
- Saptarsh Bordoloi secured the second rank with 590 marks (98.33%), followed closely by Anirban Borgohain in third place with 589 marks (98.17%).
- Rank 1 and Rank 3 students are from Prajna Academy Senior Secondary School, Jorhat, while the second-rank holder is from Assam Jatiya Vidyalaya, Noonmati, Kamrup (M).
Disparity in Pass Rates Across Communities
While the overall pass percentage shows moderate performance, significant gaps remain among social groups:
- SC students: 58.56%
- Tea Garden communities: 51.89%
- OBC: 69.64%
- MOBC: 70.78%
- ST (P): 71.32%
- ST (H): 65.86%
In response, Education Minister Ranoj Pegu announced targeted interventions for underperforming groups in the 2025–26 academic year.
District-wise Performance
Top-performing districts include:
- Shivsagar: 85.55%
- Dibrugarh: 81.10%
- Dhemaji: 80.64%
- Jorhat: 79.61%
- Kamrup (M): 78.79%
On the other hand, Sribhumi district recorded the lowest pass rate at 47.96%.

Over 2.7 lakh students appeared for the HSLC 2025 exams, which were held from February 15 to March 3, with practical exams conducted earlier on January 21 and 22.
