Asia Cup 2025: The Pakistan Cricket Board had demanded from ICC that match referee Andy Pycroft be removed from the Asia Cup, but ICC has rejected it.

The Pakistan Cricket Board had demanded from the International Cricket Council (ICC) that match referee Andy Pycroft be removed from the Asia Cup 2025, but the ICC has officially rejected this demand. The Pakistan Board had also threatened that if this demand was not met, it would withdraw from the tournament.

On Sunday, 14 September, a match was played between India and Pakistan, in which India registered a spectacular victory by 7 wickets. When the toss took place in this match, Suryakumar Yadav did not shake hands with Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha, nor did he change the team sheet. Even during the match, the Indian players did not talk to him and as soon as Suryakumar Yadav hit the winning shot, he went straight to the dressing room with Shivam Dubey.

Pakistan is blaming Andy Pycroft!

After the match was over, Pakistani cricketers were standing on the ground, they thought that the players of Team India would come to shake hands but this did not happen. The door of the Indian dressing room was closed. Actually, before the match, there was a lot of criticism on social media as to why the match was being played with Pakistan. Meanwhile, the players and management decided that the players of the team will neither shake hands nor meet the Pakistani players in this match.

Suryakumar Yadav said after the match that it was the decision of the entire team. When asked about not showing sportsmanship, Suryakumar Yadav said that "some things are above sportsmanship."
