Make backups end-to-end encrypted

To keep your chats saved in the cloud safe, WhatsApp lets you encrypt your backups. This will prevent neither WhatsApp nor Google or Apple from reading your chats. To turn it on, go to Settings > Chats > Chat Backup > End-to-End Encrypted Backup > Turn On.
