Anuppur Gangrape: Police has said that all the accused of gangraping the college student are from the same village. Police arrested all of them within a few hours. A minor is also among the accused.

Anuppur Gangrape News: A student returning home from college in Anuppur district of Madhya Pradesh was gangraped. The victim, who studies in Rajendragram College, has narrated her ordeal to the police. The victim has said that four people attacked her. They stuffed a cloth in her mouth and dragged her to the roadside. First they beat her up and then gangraped her.
"The incident took place on March 22 at around 6 pm when the girl got off an auto near Chirband Gate and was walking on a dirt road to her home. All the accused were hiding nearby and suddenly attacked the girl, dragged her and gang-raped her," Rajendragram police station in-charge Virendra Kumar Barkade told news agency IANS.
The minor will be sent to Rewa Juvenile Protection Home
He said, "As soon as information about this crime was received, a team of police force reached the spot. After the arrest of the accused, a medical examination was done. After this, they were produced in the court. The minor will be sent to Rewa Juvenile Protection Home as per the court order.''
Virendra Kumar said, "The victim told that Hemraj Singh alias Koshu and his three accomplices ambushed her near a culvert. The attackers silenced her by closing her mouth with a cloth, then dragged her to a deserted spot on the roadside and assaulted her. The attackers also threatened to kill her before fleeing from the spot."
All four accused were arrested within a few hours
He further said that acting on the woman's complaint, the police launched an intensive search operation and within a few hours all the four suspects were arrested. The arrested persons have been identified as Hemraj Singh (22), Nepal Singh (20), Jitendra Kumar alias Jeetu (25) and a minor. All of them are residents of Achalpur under Rajendragram police jurisdiction. A case has been registered under sections 87, 70 (1) and 351 (3) of the BNS.
