Amid controversy, TCS employees receive good news: no one will lose their job, and salaries will also increase.

TCS: Tata Consultancy Services has been in the news for the past few days due to serious allegations of sexual harassment and forced religious conversions at its Nashik BPO unit. Now, it has given some "bad news" to its employees.

TCS gave good news to its employees

Tata Consultancy Services: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), the country's largest software company, has announced that the layoffs are over. The company will now return to its standard increment cycle. This means the company will return to its previous normal, eliminating uncertainty and long waits for salary increments. TCS's standard cycle begins on April 1st, after being delayed last year.

In July 2025, the company announced a large-scale layoff, representing 2% of its global workforce (approximately 12,261 employees). The reasons cited were structural restructuring and adapting to technologies like AI (Artificial Intelligence). This decision left employees facing uncertainty regarding salary increases and job security. However, the company's new decision is expected to bring relief to these employees.

How did the company return to its old position?

According to the company's CEO, K. Krithivasan, the company has returned to its previous position due to strong financial performance, improving demand, and growing confidence in the business environment. TCS reported a profit of ₹13,718 crore in Q4, a 12.2 percent increase over the same quarter last year. Revenue also increased by 9.6 percent to ₹70,698 crore. The company has also secured new contracts worth $12 billion in recent years, including several mega deals. All of this has helped the company return to its previous position.

Salary hike in TCS

Salary increases at TCS are based on performance every year. If reports are to be believed, high-performing employees at TCS typically receive double-digit salary increases. For most employees, typical salary increases typically range from 4.5% to 7%, depending on performance rating and grade.

TCS stir

A sensational revelation recently emerged of sexual harassment and forced conversions at TCS's BPO unit in Nashik, Maharashtra. Some women working there made shocking claims of alleged sexual harassment, severe abuse, and attempts at forced conversion. Nashik police have registered nine FIRs and arrested several people in connection with the case. According to police sources, two suspended employees, Tausif Attar and Nida Khan, are believed to be the masterminds behind the entire incident.
