While hearing a case, Allahabad High Court made an important comment on religious conversion. A single judge bench in the court said that a case cannot be dismissed on the basis of an agreement between the two parties.

UP News: Allahabad High Court has given its verdict on religious conversion. The High Court has said that religious conversion can only happen through change of heart and faith. Conversion done under deception and pressure is illegal and a serious crime. In such cases, the case cannot be cancelled on the basis of agreement between the two parties.
Justice Manju Rani Chauhan's bench has said that conversion to Islam can be considered genuine only when an adult person believes in Prophet Hazrat Mohammad with a clean heart and with his own will. He must have converted his heart with a sincere heart after being influenced by the principles of Islam.
The court said that with a true heart, one should keep Allah in his heart and have faith in Prophet Mohammad. Believe in his principles with all heart and see the powers of the universe in his idol. On the basis of these arguments, the court has refused to give any relief to the accused of converting by lying and raping in the name of marriage.
The court has considered it a serious crime and has rejected the plea to cancel the case. The court has said in its decision that a woman's body is her temple and purity is its foundation. It cannot be shaken at all. The court said that incidents of rape suppress the dignified breath of life.
The case was related to Rampur.
Allahabad High Court has rejected the petition of Taufiq, a resident of Swar police station area of Rampur in this case. According to the accused, Taufiq's brother-in-law Mohammad Ayan had created an ID on Facebook with the name Rahul. Because of the ID named Rahul, he trapped the same husband in his love trap. He had physical relations with the girl. Later she came to know that Rahul's real name is Ayan.
In this case, an FIR was lodged against Ayan as well as his brother-in-law Taufiq and Riyaz for rape and conversion. The FIR was registered on 7 June 2021. The police have also filed a charge sheet in this case. However, in the meantime, a settlement was reached between the accused and the complainant girl.
The girl said that she had converted of her own free will and had filed an FIR under someone's influence. She is living with the accused youth. The girl also appealed to cancel the criminal proceedings going on in the trial court. The court has said in this case that the talk of compromise in such cases is beyond imagination. In this case, conversion was not done for faith but with the aim of making marriage a basis or avoiding it. This cannot be considered good faith at all.
