Air India's big decision: 100 flights will be cut daily, and inflation has stopped flights.

FTA News: Due to the US-Iran war, inflation is rising across the country. This is now affecting daily flights. Recently, Air India has decided to cancel some of its daily flights.

Air India will cancel 100 flights daily.

US-Iran War: The ongoing war between the US and Iran is rapidly impacting India. As a result, inflation is rising daily in some way or another. Recently, ATF (Aviation Turbine Fuel) prices have risen, which is having an impact on the aviation industry. Consequently, airlines are now considering reducing flights.

Air India Flight Cancellations:

According to ET reports, Air India has decided to reduce its daily flights. Currently, Air India operates 1,100 flights daily, including international and domestic flights. As part of the new decision, 100 of these flights have been cancelled, and these reductions will last until June.

Pakistan is also a reason for the lag.

Due to rising fuel prices, Pakistan's airspace is currently closed. As a result, many flights from India to Europe, North America, Australia, and Singapore are forced to take longer routes, resulting in higher fuel consumption and increased crew costs. This decision has also been made due to this.

ATF prices increased again on Friday.

It should be noted that on Friday, the price of ATF (Aviation Turbine Fuel) in Delhi increased from ₹136,082 to ₹143,335 per kilolitre. This increase, a 5.33% increase for the second consecutive month, is impacting flights. Earlier on Monday, the Federation of Indian Airlines (FIA), representing IndiGo, Air India, and SpiceJet, warned that if the government did not take steps to reduce the cost burden, services would remain suspended.
