A new era of treatment in Delhi's government hospitals, a world-class health facility opens at GB Pant

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said that the Delhi government's goal is to equip government hospitals with international-level facilities. Eliminating the gap between rich and poor in access to medical care is a priority for the government.

 

New health facilities started in GB Pant Hospital

 

The Delhi government has taken a major step toward elevating the capital's healthcare system. New medical facilities equipped with state-of-the-art technology have been inaugurated at Govind Ballabh Pant (GB Pant) Hospital, which will greatly benefit not only patients in Delhi but also those from other states.

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and Health Minister Dr. Pankaj Kumar Singh inaugurated the 256-slice CT scan, the Wide Cath Lab, and the new ICU at a ceremony held on the hospital campus. Hospital administration and several medical experts were also present.

Now private-like treatment will be available in government hospitals as well

During the inauguration, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta stated that the Delhi government's goal is to equip government hospitals with international-level facilities. She clarified that eliminating the gap between rich and poor in medical care is the government's priority, so that every citizen can access equal and quality healthcare.

North India's first 256 slice CT scan

The Chief Minister informed that the 256-slice CT scan installed at GB Pant Hospital is one of the select machines of its class and is the first such installation in a government hospital in North India. This machine will prove extremely effective in the rapid and accurate diagnosis of cancer, heart disease, and other serious illnesses. He said that with the opening of the new Neuro Cath Lab at the hospital, neurological treatment will receive a new boost. This hospital, which has been a leader in medical services and education since 1964, has been provided with these modern facilities at a cost of approximately ₹38 crore.

Removing outdated technology and making modern upgrades

Meanwhile, Health Minister Dr. Pankaj Kumar Singh stated that the neuro-IT system at GB Pant Hospital has been completely upgraded. Old machines have been replaced with new technology, which will directly benefit patients with better and faster treatment.

The Health Minister said that, in furtherance of the promise made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the people of Delhi, the government is expanding healthcare services. In the near future, MRI, CT scan, and modern diagnostic facilities will be introduced in other hospitals in Delhi.
