An Indian cricketer made a big revelation.
Former Indian cricketer Laxman Sivaramakrishnan has shocked the cricketing world with some serious revelations. Once considered one of India's rising leg-spin bowlers, he found himself embroiled in controversy in his youth. He has now admitted to suffering from depression due to his alcohol abuse and racist remarks.
Laxman Sivaramakrishnan made his debut for the Indian cricket team at the age of 17. He explained that the constant allegations had tarnished his image. The situation had become so dire that even being an international cricketer made it difficult to find a marriage partner.
alcoholic tag
According to The Indian Express, Laxman Sivaramakrishnan explained that people started spreading false stories about him. He said that when he was 16-19 years old, people labeled him as an "alcoholic," even though he wasn't even an adult at the time.
He said, "I have never consumed drugs in my life. Later in life, I did consume beer; I don't deny it. But imagine a 19-year-old boy being called an alcoholic."
No one is ready to marry his daughter.
Sivaramakrishnan recalled that his parents even had to print an advertisement for his wedding. Two weeks later, when they opened the mailbox, there were no applications.
The legendary cricketer said, "This meant that my image among the people had become so bad that no one wanted to marry their daughter to me."
