Seven districts of UP have now been included in the Ayushman Yojana. Also, hospitals with less than 100 bed capacity in these districts have been approved to be added to the list of the scheme.

A big decision has been taken by the government for the Ayushman card holders of UP. Let us tell you that now it has been decided to include seven districts of UP in this scheme. This includes Prayagraj, Bareilly, Gorakhpur, Kanpur Nagar, Lucknow, Meerut, Varanasi districts. In these districts, hospitals with less than 100 bed capacity have also been approved to be added to the list of the scheme. Under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana in the state, eligible beneficiaries will be given free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh every year.

What should be the facility?

It is being told that the number of beneficiaries of Ayushman Yojana is very high in these districts. Therefore, these decisions have been taken to increase the number of hospitals there. Relaxation has been provided in minimum 3 registrations in the main hospital. However, to be included in the list of this scheme, it will be mandatory for the hospitals to follow all the other criteria set by the nodal agency Sachis. Along with this, these include availability of qualified doctors, stock of necessary medicines, basic facilities for treatment and compliance with fire safety standards.

Hospitals with less than 100 bed capacity in 7 districts of Uttar Pradesh – Prayagraj, Bareilly, Gorakhpur, Kanpur Nagar, Lucknow, Meerut, Varanasi have also been approved to be listed in Ayushman Yojana.

At the same time, Sachies Chief Executive Officer Archana Verma says that at present more than 5,872 hospitals in the state are listed in the scheme, which also includes 2,923 private hospitals. These listed hospitals are also providing many super specialty services, through which beneficiaries are getting good health services. So far, Ayushman cards of 5,28,74,577 eligible beneficiaries have been made in the state. Also, under the process of pre-authorization, the state is at the top in the entire country.
