Kaithal (Jaipal Rasoolpur): A major security lapse has come to light in Kaithal district of Haryana. The Special Detective Unit (SDU) police team has arrested 25-year-old Devendra Singh, a resident of Mastgarh village, on charges of spying for Pakistan's intelligence agency ISI. The accused is accused of sending confidential information of the army to Pakistan, including information related to India's military operation "Sindoor".

Shocking revelations made during police interrogation
According to the police, Devendra Singh was first detained on May 13 for a post related to illegal weapons on the social media platform Facebook. When he was questioned, the police got shocking revelations. The accused confessed that he had gone to visit religious places like Kartarpur Sahib, Nankana Sahib, Lahore and Panja Sahib in Pakistan through the corridor. During this time he came in contact with the Pakistani intelligence agency ISI.
According to police sources, the ISI agency in Pakistan trapped Devendra through a girl there. He stayed with that girl for a week and from here his deep connection with the Pakistani agency developed. Even after returning, he remained in constant touch with Pakistani agents and kept sharing many intelligence information with India. Investigation has revealed that he has been in touch with more than 5 Pakistani agents so far.
Devendra Singh was studying in Patiala
Devendra Singh, who was studying in Patiala, had taken pictures of the army cantonment area there with his mobile phone and sent them to ISI agents. Apart from these pictures, the accused also sent information related to Operation "Sindoor" to Pakistan, which is considered a serious threat to India's national security. Police say that Devendra's activities had become a big threat to the sovereignty, integrity and security of the country.

During the investigation, the police found out that the accused had got wind of the police investigation in the village, due to which he deleted the data from all his digital devices so that no evidence remains. But the cyber crime unit of Kaithal police is now engaged in recovering that data. The police have taken his mobile phone and other devices in their possession and the process of retrieving the deleted data from them through technical means is underway.
