Commenting on Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation, Kharge, citing the CJP's agitation, said that the government removed Dharmendra Pradhan from the post of Education Minister due to pressure and fear.

Monsoon Session of Parliament: During the discussion on the Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means Amendment) Bill in the Rajya Sabha, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge launched a scathing attack on the Central Government and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Speaking in the Upper House on Thursday, Kharge said, "Those who stole the paper got away and those who worked hard got beaten. What kind of justice is this?" He raised the question of how many innocent students' futures were affected by the paper leak, how many people were injured and how many parents were troubled. He asked Amit Shah that if he is not speaking then has someone sealed his mouth?  

Kharge said that the new bill merely changes the numbers, but it won't solve the problem. He said the real need is to strengthen the examination system to prevent paper leaks. He questioned the government, asking why these steps weren't taken in 2024 if they were to be implemented. According to him, the Lok Sabha elections were looming at that time, and the government was reluctant to do so for political reasons.

Kharge's big attack

Rahul Gandhi was also mentioned. The Congress President said that Rahul Gandhi repeatedly raised the issue of paper leaks and youth issues during the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra. He alleged that the government did not take action at that time because the opposition could take the credit. Kharge said that instead of improving the examination system, the government introduced a law that had to be amended within two years. According to him, this bill is not a solution to the problem, but an attempt to calm the current situation. He said that after seeing the widespread protests by the youth, the government realized that if the movement escalated further, it could have political consequences. Therefore, the government decided to accept some of the students' demands.

He alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi took this step to save his government and his position. He said that when students repeatedly raised their concerns, the government, instead of listening to them, labeled them as anarchists. He cited BJP President J.P. Nadda as saying that if the government had communicated earlier, such a large number of students would not have faced lathicharge.

Pradhan resigns out of fear

According to him, the BJP government, Prime Minister Narendra Modi , and Union Home Minister Amit Shah are responsible for this entire incident. Taking aim at Amit Shah, Kharge said that Home Minister Amit Shah expresses his views on small issues, but is silent on this matter. He questioned why the Home Minister did not issue a statement when such a major incident occurred in Delhi. He sarcastically asked, "Has someone sewn his mouth shut?" He alleged that the students wanted dialogue, but were met with pellet guns, electric batons, and closed metro stations.

He claimed that more than 100 students were injured, many were admitted to ICU and ventilators and many students were hit by pellets. He said that this situation is shameful. Taking aim at Amit Shah , Kharge said, "You cannot stay in a closed room forever. One day the public power will bring you out." Later he clarified that he had not used any unparliamentary words and his intention was that the public would demand answers. Questions raised on the order of action: At the end of his speech, Kharge asked who gave the order to use lathicharge, tear gas and pellet guns.

He also questioned who the civilians were who beat the students, and under whose instructions the CRPF was acting. He said that if the Union Home Minister cannot answer these questions, he should resign from his post.
