Sergio Gor said, "I hope the President will visit India soon, perhaps in the next year or two." He also jokingly pointed out that President Trump has a habit of calling at 2 a.m., which is a good time for him according to New Delhi time.
A big update was given regarding the India-US trade deal
Sergio Gor also provided information about the India-US trade deal. He stated that officials from both countries are actively negotiating, with the next talks scheduled for tomorrow. He added that India is the world's largest country, making it difficult to finalize a trade deal, but both countries are working hard to achieve it. Trade is important, but the two countries are also working together in other areas, such as security, energy, technology, education, health, and counterterrorism.
The ambassador also delivered some significant news for India. He said, "Next month, India will be invited to become a full member of PaxSilica." Sergio Gor explained that PaxSilica is a US-led initiative aimed at creating a secure and robust silicon supply chain in sectors such as minerals, energy, advanced manufacturing, semiconductors, AI, and logistics. Previously, the group included Japan, South Korea, the United Kingdom, and Israel. Now, India will also be invited to join the group.
