The political relations between India and Bangladesh are not very good right now, Team India's Bangladesh tour has also been cancelled. Although the BCCI cited international schedule related commitments as the reason for cancelling this series scheduled in August, but tension between the two countries can also be a big reason for this. The report says that India and Sri Lanka will not participate in it, despite this the meeting will be held on 24th July as per the scheduled date.

Will India and Sri Lanka join the meeting through video call?

Speaking to Telecom Asia Sport, a top official said, "We have given 15 days to all member countries to finalise their arrangements. If any member does not want to attend in person, he can join online. The meeting will be held in Dhaka."

Where will Asia Cup 2025 be held?

Asia Cup 2025 will be played in T20 format, its host is India but it is to be held in a hybrid model. Because Pakistan will play its matches outside India, it can be Dubai. The report says that the ACC has formally written a letter to the BCCI asking if the BCCI still wants to host it. In fact, there was also news that the entire tournament could be shifted to the UAE.

BCCI's stand on Asia Cup

TV9's report quoted a BCCI official as saying that the board has told the ACC that it will not send its officials to Dhaka. The board's argument is that it is right to hold this important meeting in Bangladesh because the political situation there is not good right now.

According to the report, if the Asia Cup is cancelled or postponed, then England and Sri Lanka have expressed their desire to play with India during this period.
