If you want to send high-quality, or HD, photos on Instagram, you can do so by changing a few simple settings.
Change these settings to send HD photos on Instagram
Instagram has a feature that lets you upload photos and videos in better quality. Follow the steps below:

Step 1: Open the Instagram app
First of all, open the Instagram app on your phone and login to your account.
Step 2: Go to Settings
Now tap the profile icon at the bottom. Then click the three lines (☰) at the top right and select Settings and Privacy.
Step 3: Change Data Usage settings
After going to Settings, tap on Data usage and media quality option.
Step 4: Turn on High Quality Uploads
You'll now see an option labeled "Upload at highest quality." Turn it on. Instagram will then upload your photos and videos in the highest quality.
Keep these things in mind when sending HD photos:
The photo should have a good resolution.
Don't repeatedly edit or compress the photo before sending it.
A photo with a width of 1080 pixels is considered ideal for uploading to Instagram.
A poor internet connection can also affect the photo quality.
Always keep the Instagram app updated to the latest version.

If you're sending a photo to someone via Instagram DM, enable the HD option after selecting the photo. This will compress the photo less and give the other person a clearer image.
