What was the reaction?
Sharing this offer letter, Ajay Nanavati explained that when he received this job offer, he had just returned from the US after studying chemical engineering. He thought that companies there would welcome him readily and he would receive a big offer. But seeing this offer letter, he was stunned. It was both a surprise and a shock for him.
Sharing this photo, he also mentioned in the caption that his father
encouraged him to take this job. He wrote in the caption, "My father, who had spent a lot on my education, saw my starting salary and simply remained silent." However, despite this, his father told him to accept the offer.

his confidence. He wrote in the caption, "I started to doubt myself. I thought companies would be running around to hire me." Although he had better offers, he still chose Tata, despite the lower salary.
This decision proved to be a career-changing one
for Nanavati. He joined the company on July 7, 1977, as an assistant commercial officer. Nanavati describes this decision as one of his best career decisions.
Based on his own experience, Nanavati advised today's young professionals to focus on learning at the early stages of their careers, rather than focusing solely on salary. He emphasized that compensation follows qualifications, not the other way around. He also encouraged young professionals to strengthen their skills and urged leaders to provide opportunities for these young people .
