Virat Kohli has once again become the world's number one batsman in ODI cricket. The ICC released its latest rankings today. Rohit Sharma has slipped to number three. New Zealand batsman Daryl Mitchell has also gained one position, reaching number two.

Virat Kohli becomes number 1 ODI batsman.

Virat Kohli played a brilliant innings of 93 runs in the first ODI against New Zealand. He hit one six and eight fours in that innings. Although he missed out on a century, he received the Player of the Match award for his brilliant innings. Now, two days later, he received another big reward for that innings: he has reached number one in the ICC ODI batting rankings. He had reached second place after scoring two centuries against South Africa.

Rohit Sharma dropped two places

Rohit Sharma scored 26 runs in the first ODI against New Zealand, which resulted in a drop in his rankings. He had held the No. 1 spot for a long time, but in today's rankings, he has dropped two places to third. Rohit also failed in the second ODI against New Zealand, scoring just 24 runs.

New Zealand batsman Daryl Mitchell played a brilliant innings of 84 runs in the first ODI. He has reached the second position in the ICC ODI batting rankings with a rating of 784. Virat Kohli, who has reached the top spot, is just one point ahead of him.
