News of rift between husband and wife is common, but a recent case has come to light in Kanpur which has shocked everyone. In a bizarre development, a wife demanded ₹1 crore from her husband as a condition to live with him. Shocked by this demand, the husband has now filed a complaint against her.
Case details:
This incident is similar to the infamous SDM Jyoti Maurya case, which made headlines due to the dispute between Jyoti and her husband. However, this new case involves a couple from Naubasta area of Kanpur.
Wife who wants to become a government teacher
According to reports, Bajrang, a resident of Kanpur, married a woman named Lakshita from Ghaziabad in 2023. Shortly after marriage, Lakshita expressed her desire to become a government teacher. Determined to fulfill his wife's dreams, Bajrang worked tirelessly and spent a lot of money to get her admitted to expensive coaching institutes. His hard work paid off and Lakshita achieved her goal of becoming a government teacher.
Unexpected ₹1 crore demand
However, things turned shocking when Lakshita started distancing herself from Bajrang. The relationship deteriorated further and Lakshita eventually returned to her parents' home. When Bajrang confronted her about her behaviour, she reportedly insulted him, saying that she cannot live with a person of his "low status".
Bajrang did not believe it and Lakshita demanded ₹1 crore from Bajrang, claiming that she would come back to live with him only if he fulfilled her demand. Helpless and humiliated, Bajrang approached her parents, but the discussion did not lead to any solution.
Police involvement:
Bajrang, now upset and publicly humiliated, filed a complaint at the Naubasta police station. He said that he deeply desires his wife to return and is emotionally shattered by the situation. DCP South Mahesh Kumar confirmed that a case has been registered and said that efforts are on to call Lakshita and her family to Kanpur for further investigation.
Current status:
The police are working on clarifying the situation and resolving the matter. In the meantime, Bajrang is hopeful of a reconciliation despite the significant challenges posed by this unusual demand.
